Single Fin Classic & 30 Year Cracker!

Held in conjunction with Peninsula's 30 Year Anniversary, this year's Classic was held in 4-6ft offshore conditions at the old Suicide Point at Point Leo, with a large swell and crowd running into Western Port on Saturday 30th April.

Club and local legends invited down included MICK PIERCE, IAN PORTINGALE, PAUL TRIGGER, PHIL TRIGGER, WALLY TIBBLES, JOHN JOLLY, MICK SCHAFER, JON WILSON, TED BAINBRIDGE, TONY FOWLER, HARRY HODGE, PHIL GRACE, SKIP EASTON, JEFF SMITH, MARK McCABE, MICK MARCHANTS, RON ROOZEN and special guest WAYNE LYNCH who also came accross for the day.
With boards over 30 years old the crew pulled out a 'gutful' of classic carves, hang fives, head dips, laybacks and go-downs.

With the expression session and finals contested in 5ft offshore peaks, the team packed up and made it's way to the clubrooms at Gunna. This saw a celebration to rival any reunion with all guests in 70's get up. Well done Howie, Vock, Gav, Skip, Red-Eye, Barn, Ronnie, Burnsie, JPR, and committe who helped put this great day together. Also thanks to Ozmosis, Billabong, Cownet and Amour-dillo.
